Our Story
Crooked visuals, bad audio, mixed messaging, and a poor guest experience. We were tired of seeing planning breakdowns distract audiences from key event messaging.
Founded with over a decade of experience built on presidential “advance” - the term used to describe the planning, organizing, and execution of White House events around the country and around the world - we sought to make this expertise accessible to a wider audience. But why stop with just events? Having managed communications for several statewide, federal, and appointed regional offices, in addition to having spent five years selling a variety of paid media in New York City, we understand that events are just one piece of a communications puzzle.
Rather than refer you from vendor to vendor to complete your campaign, we strive to be your one-stop-shop for navigating the communications landscape from start to finish.
Our Team
Our founder, Derek Dash, most recently served as a senior communications advisor at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency designing earned media events that communicated the benefits of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act. Concurrently, he served as a site lead for Kamala Harris, both in her capacity as vice president and during her historic 107-day presidential campaign. In this role, Derek was sent to organize some of the most logistically challenging events the Vice President attended including the Munich Security Conference, Country Over Party Tour with Liz Cheney, the Swiss Summit on Peace in Ukraine, the Democratic National Convention, and the 2024 Election Night at Howard University.
Derek has worked a variety of communications roles in the public and private sectors. Before joining the EPA, he was Governor Jared Polis’s Deputy Communications Director during the governor’s successful 2022 re-election campaign. Derek worked as a strategic account manager at Gamut Media (now “Locality”) in New York City, where he supported a $25 million book of business. In this role Derek bought and sold an array of media including, television, digital, out-of-home, radio, cable, programmatic, streaming video and podcast, digital takeovers, and live event sponsorships. Before moving to New York, Derek worked on U.S. Senator Michael Bennet’s successful 2016 reelection campaign, was Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper’s “bodyman,” and was the director of advance for U.S. Senator Mark Udall’s unsuccessful 2014 reelection bid.
Underpinning these roles is Derek’s commitment to education. In 2025, Derek completed the Harvard Kennedy School’s Senior Executive Fellows program sharpening his executive leadership and managerial skills. In 2022, he earned his M.A. in Media and Public Communication and a Certificate in Public Diplomacy from the University of Denver. In 2013, he was a first generation graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder with his B.A. in Political Science. Derek is a proud inaugural graduate of the Denver School of Science and Technology, a STEM based high school that has grown to become one of Denver’s top ranked charter schools.
